Ice Skating 16th February 2009
With the trip over subscribed an excited group of 22 young people and 4 adults headed off to Spectrum Ice Rink in Guildford. At last an aim of the club to offer an activity away from the village had been realised but little did we know we would return two members short! Whilst most enjoyed themselves, some found the skates a little painful and gave up early, two through no thought or desire of their own had to give up, one after just 30 seconds as visits to the local A and E became necessary. The first having left a bloody mess on the ice, required seven stitches to his forehead and the other an overnight stay in hospital to have his broken wrist re-positioned. We think we might go ten pin bowling next time!
